Winter Tips

So what have you been doing this winter?  We were have a very mild winter until a week ago which winter decided to show up with ice.  One thing that I have found to stay warm is a good pair of wool knee highs.  When I was visiting Yellowstone I bought the best pair of socks and now I wish I had bought 2 pair as I have keep these on all week to stay warm.  They don’t match any clothes that I have but boy they do keep my feet warm.  So what do you do keep warm?  Oh – a good book always helps too. 🙂

Trip to New York

I had a chance to go to NYC in January before the snow storm hit.  It was actually my Christmas present.  Had a lot of good food.  Did a lot of walking.  We went to Ground Zero and that is something to see.  If you have not had a chance to go be sure to do so when you next visit NYC.  The first picture is at one of our favorites – John’s Pizza.  My goodness  they have GREAT pizza.   The second picture is one of the fire trucks that was at the twin towers when they went down – that is the cab of a ladder truck.  The third picture is from the basketball game at the Garden.

We were also there to see Coach K get his 1000 victory.  Yeah!

Now I really need to get back to writing that next book.IMG_1519IMG_1559IMG_1605  Hope everyone is reading a good book.

Did you have a good Christmas?

I hope everyone had a good Christmas.  It was kind of a sad month for me as my dog, Winston who was 15,DSC01191 DSC01213 died the first week.  But I’m feeling better now and Christmas has come and gone.  It was a nice Christmas with family and friends.  Here are a couple of pictures from Christmas.

Fantastic Read October 16, 2014     Honestly, I loved this book. Right from the start, the setting and characters grabbed my attention and wouldn’t let go. I couldn’t read fast enough, as I was caught up in Brenna and Taylor’s heartbreak and wanted to know ‘what’ exactly tore them apart. Once that part became clear, I rooted for these two soul mates to find their way back to each other. Ms. Jernigan has spun a clever, heart-warming tale.
